DVD-R COMPATILITY
INFORMATION!
Since we are a site that is exclusively
dedicated to DVD-R we feel that it is important to explain DVD-R a little
bit and offer a helpful link for you to assist you in checking the compatibility
of your player.
DVD-R is not the same as the DVD
discs you buy at a regular store. They are DVD’S that can have
data recorded onto them when using the proper equipment. They will not
have a fancy menu screen or any hidden surprises and widescreen/letterboxed
movies will never be anamorphic though they will contain chapter stops
and a basic top menu and, in some cases, slightly improve the original
source image. Knowing that, please do keep in mind that the original
source material will almost always be long out of print International
VHS releases. For our International customers, please be certain that
your DVD player is NTSC compatible before ordering. Though almost any
players manufactured after 1999 will probably play DVD-R discs without
any trouble at all, there are some exceptions, just as there are players
made before 1999 that will play them even though some will not. So,
in order for you to investigate, if necessary, your DVD player’s
compatibility with the DVD-R format we are providing the following link.
Also, it’s a good idea to check your machine’s included
owner’s manual, as it will often contain this information.

Many players will be compatible,
especially newer players. However, as we stated above, there will be
some that are NOT compatible. Please make sure and check the above link
before ordering if you aren’t sure.
